Interim Accountant £40,000 – £45,000 | Nantwich

The Opportunity

6 month contract for an experienced on finance professional looking for an interim project to begin ASAP.

You’ll be joining a modern manufacturing business amid a period of interesting change, growth and transition.

Your role reports to the Site Financial Controller and you’ll be supporting with management accounts preparation and smooth month end close.

It’s a hands-on role and the group is amid a system change – you’ll need to be a calm and proactive character with a measured approach to learning new tasks and navigating new problems.

You’ll be working in a cohesive and collaborative team and for an approachable and encouraging manager, but you need to be someone who enjoys a relatively high degree of autonomy. You’ll be managing your own timeframes, deadlines and workload and you’ll be naturally organised and diligent.

You’ll ideally be immediately available and have previous experience of contract / interim assignment completion. You’ll be someone who enjoys going into new businesses and hitting the ground running.

The remit will include accruals and prepayments, journals, balance sheet recs etc and you need to be comfortable rolling up sleeves and getting into the nuts and bolts of month end.

It’s a fast paced setting with high volumes of data and previous experience of a larger business (£100m+ turnover) would be useful.

Required:

• AAT as a minimum (ideally part or fully qualified CIMA / ACCA)
• Experience of management accounting / the full remit of month end duties.
• Confident Excel skills and a natural attention to detail.
• Team player with confident communication skills.
