The Opportunity

Are you a CIMA studier looking to move fully away from the nuts and bolts of month end and into a business partnering role which let’s you use all of your awesomeness to it’s full capacity?? 

This is a site based role for a business experiencing extremely exciting expansion.  It’s a modern, fast-paced and growing distribution / logistics group that can offer significant career development opportunity. 

Your role is true business partnering – you’ll be a vital bridge between the finance team and the operational leadership team and GM at the site.  

Your remit is all added value – spotting and discussing risk, opportunity and ways to effect positive change and optimisation.  

No balance sheet recs, no stat accounting, no boring accruals and prepayment schedules…  

You’ll be taking P&L ownership – reporting to the Head of business partnering and dotted line in the local GM.  

Drilling into the labour costs, variances, budgets, forecasts, site KPIs and general business performance metrics, profit streams, margin impactors, cost trending, customer activities etc etc. 

You’ll be delivering really insightful and useful MI and most importantly you’ll be getting out into the business to work with the operational and commercial teams to challenge ways of working, influence decision making and ultimately have an impact on how the business unit is operating.

Required: 

• CIMA / ACCA studying ideally (part qual or finalist level).  
• A background within commercial focused financial analysis or business-facing management accounting.  
• Proactivity and a natural appetite to make a difference. 
• Commercial / business acumen – someone who wants to really get under the skin of the business and understand the driver / levers of success / cost and profit.  
• Great analytical skills and good understanding of Excel / data interrogation. 
• A can do attitude and ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and freedom.
