Group Finance Manager (Interim, 6 – 9 month initial assignment) | £550 – £650 / day (inside IR35) | Peterborough (Hybrid – 50% home based: 50% office based) 

The Opportunity

Immediate start for a technically confident ACCA / ACA qualified finance professional. You’ll be joining a prestigious group with an excellent brand. It’s a critical group financial reporting and control position that sits within central group finance and is initially a 6 – 9 month assignment resulting from an internal project secondment. 

The role would suit perfectly a professional, technically sound and conscientious ACCA / ACA qualified accountant who has spent time within top tier practice. It’s a chance to work in a fantastic and well-known growing business in a highly visible group finance role.

Your remit will include; 

• Oversight and accountability of all external reporting (financial statements, certain regulatory reporting, group financial reporting), 
• Accountability for general ledger management relating to intercompany transactions, retranslation of overseas subsidiary, complex internal transactions and ‘below-the-line’ items (e.g. hedging arrangements, share-based payments), 
• Finance Risk reporting – KRIs (inc. bank covenants, month-end checklists, balance sheet reconciliations), leading monthly risk meeting with the CFO 
• Leading a small team (qualified and studying level) 

Required: 

• Audit background (ideally top tier practice), experience of group financial reporting and control. 
• A hands on approach and confidence when digging into the numbers. 
• Ability to discuss complex financial information with a non finance and finance audience. 
• Sound technical accounting awareness (IFRS / UK GAAP). 
• Ability commit to a 6 month project.
