Part Time Financial Controller | £60,000 – £70,000 (full time equivalent) | Remote Working (East Midlands Head office) 

The Opportunity

You’ll be joining a young business during a phase of rapid growth and scale up (currently approaching £2m turnover and expecting to double revenues in the next 24 months).  

You’ll join the business as the 1^st FC / head of Finance – working directly for the entrepreneurial and forward-thinking owners.  

It’s an agile and modern SME – a business that is run by owners with commercial acumen but genuine values and a real sense of purpose.  

An ambitious and aspirational group amid a phase of rapid YoY revenue growth. 

You’ll be joining at an exciting early stage and your remit includes implementing and designing appropriate financial controls, reporting, budgeting and forecasting for the group.  You’ll be getting a handle on cost tracking, profit streams, margins – producing and presenting insightful MI that will underpin well-management expansion.  

It’s a tactical and strategic role and you need to be hands on and comfortable drilling down into the numbers wherever necessary.  The group have outsourced the core bookkeeping and you’ll need to have a good relationship with the arms length accountants that look after the nitty gritty / transactional piece.

Required:

• Previous experience of supporting an SME through growth as their FC / Head of Finance. 
• Experience of management accounting, budgeting, cashflows, forecasting etc.  
• Excellent IT skills including confidence with Excel.  
• Ability to bring financial control and reporting into an agile SME.  
• ACCA / ACA or CIMA.
