Interim Assistant Financial Accountant / Assistant Management Accountant | £30,000 – £35,000 (6 month initial contract) | Nantwich (Hybrid working model)

The Opportunity

You’ll be joining a growing business in the welcoming and collaborative central finance team – 6 month initial contract (hybrid working model with 2 or 3 days per week office based).

Ideally immediate start – March or early April 2024.

The remit supports all areas of month end reporting for the business unit.

This is a chance to join a modern group and work with them through 2024.

It’s a sensible work life balance and 2-3 days per week will be spent working remotely / from home.

You’ll be joining a supportive and encouraging financial controller who will hugely value your input and effort.

You need to be comfortable with accruals / prepayments / journals etc and have a great eye for detail.  The Financial Controller is looking for someone with a good degree of common sense – someone who can spot anomalies in the data and investigate unusual postings to ensure accuracy is on point and any spikes or dips are understood.

The business is also amid an exciting ERP systems migration and previous experience of working with various accounting software / ERP would be useful.  Reasonable Excel skills are needed.

Required:

•          Experience of month end accounting ideally within a manufacturing environment.
•          Naturally diligent with an excellent eye for detail and strong organisational skills.
•          Confident excel skills.
•          Team player with strong communication skills.
•          Ability to start immediately.
