Commercial Finance Manager (Immediate Start – 12 month initial project) | £85,000 – £95,000 + benefits | Predominantly Remote Working (UK Based)

The Opportunity

Brilliant interim position with a genuine commercial focus.

Your remit is added value – working as a critical business partner to the commercial managers and directors across the group.

Providing insights into new bids and tenders, customer activity and new customer ROI projects, costing proposition and margin analysis, inflation impact & recovery, challenging planning and forecasts… it’s very much business facing and focused on value optimisation … out and out make a difference stuff at the sharp end of the business.

You’ll be someone who has a track record of success in a commercial finance business partnering role ideally within an FMCG environment.

It’s a supportive and collaborative team and organisation but you need to be someone able to work with a fair degree of autonomy – predominantly home based (interactions via calls / teams / emails).

You need to understand the levers of success in FMCG manufacturing and ideally have been in a commercial finance role that has given you exposure to the big retailers.

This is a fast paced, modern and highly innovative PLC that is delivering and forecasting growth. You’ll be someone who enjoys being in a continuous improvement setting where there is a real strive for constant marginal gain and optimisation. New ideas and fresh insights are always welcome and valued.

It’s an initial 12 month project to start April / May 2024.

Required:

• Previous experience as a commercial finance business partner / commercial finance manager within a large and fast paced FMCG business.
• Ability to balance BAU with changing landscapes and ad hoc requests / projects. Someone who can balance multiple stakeholder requirements in a calm and measured manner.
• A proactive and commercially aware accountant who loves being part of the sales end of the business.
• Outstanding communication and relationship building skills.
• Highly analytical and not afraid of drilling into the numbers wherever required.
• Ability to cut through complex financial information to provide useful headline insights for the commercial managers / directors.
• CIMA / ACA or ACCA.
