Financial Controller | Clayton West, Huddersfield  | £60,000 – £70,000 (doe) + benefits

The Opportunity

Are you a Management Accountant / Finance manager looking for your first fully fledged FC role?  You’ll be joining a growing PE backed business as Financial Controller, reporting directly into the FD. 

It’s a business that has been investing in significant growth and has completed several targeted acquisitions over the past couple of years (with more M&A anticipated).

There’s loads to get your teeth into and a real chance to make an impact. 

You’ll be managing and coaching a small finance team in a collaborative, vibrant and supportive environment. 

It’s a role with plenty of variety and autonomy coupled with support from a mentor FD.

This is a role that will give you the exposure and experience to ultimately equip you to become FD down the line.  

A professional reasonably complex SME that will fill your CV with impressive experience and achievements. 

It would suit a proactive and diligent accountant (perhaps recently qualified in the last few years).  Someone who is hands on, commercially astute and has a solid baseline of core accounting skills. 

You are likely operating at Finance Manager / Management Accountant or maybe FC level currently.

If you have recently completed CIMA / ACA / ACCA and are looking for an interesting and broad new challenge in a professional business with an excellent culture it would be great to speak.

Required:

• CIMA / ACCA or ACA. 
• Experience of producing comprehensive and insightful management accounts packs. 
• Excellent analytical / Excel skills. 
• A naturally proactive and calm approach to learning new tasks.
• A problem solver – someone who will enjoy developing the controls, enhancing the reporting, being involved in mergers and acquisitions.
• A hands on accountant with true attention to detail.
