Finance Manager / Company Accountant | North Leeds | £50,000 – £60,000

The Opportunity

Professional, founder-led SME (<£10m turnover, circa 20 permanent employees) have an opportunity for a qualified finance manager / company accountant / FC to join their team.

This is a super role for the right candidate – loads of autonomy and independence, busy and interesting but a very sensible work life balance (no need to open your laptop of an evening or at weekends).

Reporting directly to the entrepreneurial owner you will be the key finance contact for the business (managing the full shooting match from point of invoice through to monthly management accounts and year end requirements). You’ll lead on day to day financial management and reporting and be a vital sounding board to the MD.

It’s naturally a very hands on role and you’ll be someone who absolutely doesn’t mind getting their sleeves rolled up to drill into the nitty gritty of the transactions where necessary.

You’ll be someone who can deliver a credible monthly management accounts pack to provide insight around spending, sales trends, profit and cashflow.

It’s a growing SME and you need to have previous experience in a business of similar size / shape ideally (perhaps a £5m – £20m business).

You will be:

• A calm, diligent and experienced Finance Manager / Company Accountant / FC who enjoys working in varied role within an agile smaller business.
• CIMA / ACCA / ACA ideally (or QBE)
• Professional and meticulous, someone who takes pride in presenting highly accurate numbers at month end.
• Able to give the Directors sound financial guidance to manage costs and cashflow and to help drive further growth and profitability.
• Able to manage external stakeholder relationships (bank, insurers, local external accountants)
