Company Accountant / Finance Manager | Birmingham / Sutton Coldfield | £40,000 – £45,000 

The Opportunity

Professional growing SME approaching £4m turnover have a newly created opportunity for a talented and hands on Company Accountant / Management Accountant / Finance Manager. 

It’s a varied role with lots of autonomy (reporting to the Finance Director). Your remit will be all aspects of the end to end accounting and financial management for the business. You’ll be involved in all aspects of month end (from transactional accounting through to management accounts preparation).

The current accounting process are neat and well managed but there is scope for you to implement new ideas and develop the processes / financial controls and reporting as you see fit. 

It’s busy, rewarding and there is plenty of variety but deadlines and workload is sensible – an excellent opportunity for great work life balance! 

You’ll be working for a hands-off but supportive, modern-thinking and encouraging FD. Someone highly approachable who you can bounce ideas off and turn to for any specific technical queries if they arise.

Required:

• Previous experience of end to end accounting within an SME ideally.
• A hands on approach – you will be responsible for all aspects of month end and you need to be comfortable rolling up sleeves and getting into the nitty gritty. 
• Understanding of Xero would be super beneficial. 
• Ability to manage your own time and workload without micro-management!
• A proactive, enthusiastic and professional approach.
