The Opportunity 

We’re currently recruiting for an Accounts Administrator to join the finance department of a well-established, expanding group of businesses within the construction sector.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role within a busy finance team, supporting the wider finance function along with taking responsibility for aspects of key subsidiaries. You will enjoy a broad remit, whilst also having the opportunity for progression and exposure to other areas within the finance function downstream. Benefiting from excellent mentors and training, this is the perfect role for someone who wants to expand their skillset and grow into a broader finance role. 

Your remit will include:

  • Processing sales and purchase invoices
  • Assisting in month-end account prep (accruals & prepayments)
  • Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining ledgers
  • Managing debt and proactively chasing outstanding payments
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers, and third-party providers
  • Responding to finance-related queries providing resolution

You will need:

  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Good financial awareness and attention to detail
  • Experience in credit control and transactional finance (especially sales ledger and invoicing)
  • To be highly organised, able to meet deadlines and juggle multiple tasks
  • A positive, enthusiastic attitude and a team-oriented mindset
  • A proactive approach to problem solving with excellent communication skills
