Financial Controller | Blackburn | £75,000 – £80,000 + benefits

• You are joining a growing, profitable and aspirational business that will provide a clear route into the FD role over the next 3 – 5 years. 
• You’ll play a key role in leading a business-wide investment & transformation project, completely overhauling the existing systems to deliver state of the art modern IT infrastructure.

It’s an expanding £30m turnover business that will take you on the journey to your first FD role.  

The group is amid significant investment to supercharge future growth and underpin their current success.  You will play a lead role in assessing the current systems and software, working with the MD and wider leadership team to select and embed new ERP systems and automation.  It’s a CV changing project that will be insanely valuable experience to the right candidate. 

You need to be a curious, intelligent and commercially astute finance professional currently operating at FC level.  You will have a natural interest in systems and be highly IT literate.  You’ll have the communication skills and confidence to work with managers / directors across all functions of the group. 

It suits someone who has qualified CIMA in the last few years and is looking for a business that can provide them the exposure and platform to kick on to FD level. 

You’ll also own the finance train set – management accounting, budgeting & forecasting, year end etc alongside the exciting improvement projects that are underway.

You need:

• CIMA or equivalent. 
• Ideally exposure to a fast paced business (manufacturing sector would be useful). 
• Natural interest in systems (experience of an ERP install or upgrade would be helpful). 
• Natural curiosity and logical problem solving ability.
• To be someone who enjoys being part of positive change and improvement projects. 
• Able to build relationships with non finance colleagues across all areas of the business.
• Commercial acumen – a real interest in how the business generates income and revenue and how to use the levers available to maximise growth.
