The Opportunity

Are you recently qualified (or part qual and expecting to qualify in 2026 / 2027) and looking to join a business that can give you the toolkit to allow you to progress to FD level over the next 5 years?

This is a profitable, fast-paced SME approaching £20m turnover. A modern, professional and vibrant business with a welcoming atmosphere. Your role reports directly to the FD, a forward-thinking mentor with a track record of helping people develop and progress their careers rapidly.

Your role is super broad. Full management accounts prep, budgeting, forecasting, commercial analysis and reporting. You’ll be working with colleagues across commercial and operational areas of the business – providing valuable business partnering….

It’s a chance to build your business partnering skills and demonstrate your ability to use the numbers to drive evidence-based decision making.

It’s a role that will allow you to fast track and in reality the FD expects you to have the FC title in 12 months.

Required:

• Qualified or finalist (CIMA / ACCA / ACA).
• Excellent core accounting skills – you need to know your way around month end and have a solid foundation of management accounting understanding.
• Excellent analytical skills, ability to use Excel, your commercial awareness and your common sense to bring the numbers to life.
• Confidence when working with non finance colleagues (it would suit an ambitious newly qualified accountant who really enjoys working with colleagues across the business).
