The Opportunity

Are you someone recently qualified with solid technical accounting or audit knowledge and high ambition?

Are you looking to join a global PLC with a UK business of >£1bn turnover that can offer unrivalled career progression and development?

This is just a superb environment for someone looking to progress within a large scale and diverse group with global revenues in excess of £7bn…

You’ll be joining as a result of a series of internal promotions – strong evidence of the appetite to promote from within and the groups appetite to invest in your future development and progression.

The initial role will be a soft landing from practice – there is lots of mentoring and support and a manageable workload.   You’ll also enjoy hybrid working (3 days in an office and 2 days flexible home working).

Your initial focus surrounds financial control and balance sheet integrity… a super firm grounding to give you a mega platform to progress from.   It’s a visible role from the outset and you’ll be working with senior stakeholders from the outset (including the CFO and Director of Control and Transformation).

There is a clear pathway for progression either into a Head of role or into a divisional FC / FD position.

The remit is to be part of a continuous improvement and transformation project – you’ll play a vital role in ensuring absolute quality of the balance sheet & robust controls.  You’ll step into business partnering – working with the business to embed better process and control and providing key education.

It’s a chance to step through the door of an expanding global PLC in a role that will underpin your progression.

You will be:

  • A technically confident ACCA / ACA qualified Accountant with a background in either audit or financial control.
  • Someone with a high degree of common sense and ability to follow and embed processes that make sense and can be easily understood.
  • Commercially aware and keen to progress within a global PLC.
  • Confident using Excel.
  • Someone able to work in a collaborative team whilst also being able to manage your own time / projects effectively.
