The Opportunity 

Growing, highly respected and well-established firm of accountants based in Matlock have an opportunity for a hands on Bookkeeper to join the practice on a permanent basis.

The position is a result of growth and increased workload (which is a result of recommendation and referral). 

You’ll enjoy an interesting degree of variety – managing multiple clients / businesses across a host of sectors.

It’s a firm with a great culture – you’ll be supported and encouraged but also enjoy plenty of autonomy and opportunity to manage your own workload as you see fit. 

You need:

  • Previous experience of bookkeeping and VAT returns (ideally within another firm of accountants or within an owner managed SME).
  • Good IT skills with experience of accounting software (Sage, Quickbooks or Xero for example).
  • A hands on approach.
  • Ability to work in a team and a calm, measured and proactive approach to prioritising your workload.
  • Natural accuracy and attention to detail.
